Systems Administrator (MECM) - TS/SCI required

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Systems Administrator, the work you'll do at GDIT will directly support the mission of U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). You will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise-wide workstation and server management through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), helping ensure that systems remain secure, compliant, and missionready.

  • Assist with building MECM application packages and deploying them to servers and workstations.

  • Support installation, configuration, and patching of applications and Windows OS using System Center Configuration Manager.

  • Help create and maintain standardized workstation images and support imaging for new system builds.

  • Maintain automated application deployment packages and perform basic troubleshooting of software distribution issues.

  • Develop or modify installation scripts with guidance from senior team members.

  • Support OS deployments and updates across supported workstations.

  • Assist with COTS/GOTS software configuration within the enterprise environment.

  • Provide user support and escalate issues appropriately across Tier 1 and Tier 2.

  • Help maintain server STIG compliance and coordinate with Information Assurance teams on findings.

  • Perform routine Active Directory tasks including user and group updates and OU management in support of MECM functions.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator (MECM) must have:

  • Preferred Education: Associate degree (may be waived based on overall experience and qualifications)

  • Preferred Experience: 7 years of experience (may be waived for candidates with strong MECM or systems administration proficiency)

  • Technical Skills:

    • Experience supporting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) including application packaging, deployments, and client health troubleshooting.

    • Proficiency with Windows Server and Windows OS configuration, installation, and patching using System Center Configuration Manager.

    • Ability to assist with workstation imaging, OS deployments, and automated application distribution.

    • Working knowledge of Active Directory administration, including user/group management and OU updates to support MECM operations.

    • Basic PowerShell scripting skills for automating tasks and supporting software installation scripting.

  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  • Required Certification(s):

    • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract

    • IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification -Sec+CE or equivalent

    • Desired Computing Environment Certification for Candidates to be considered:

      • Any Microsoft Server or Azure Certification is Plus

  • Role requirements:

    • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

    • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity

    • Travel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
