The Cloud Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's server infrastructure and cloud environments. This role requires strong experience in server and cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Engineer will install, maintain, and monitor server operations, evaluate hardware and software solutions, and ensure adherence to security procedures with minimal supervision.

You Will Have an Opportunity to:

Server Administration

  • Perform Windows server administration functions

  • Administer web servers and maintain Active Directory domain controllers

  • Support DNS and DHCP servers, print servers, and printer lifecycles

  • Patch and upgrade servers as needed


Cloud and Infrastructure Support

  • Support Office 365 and Azure cloud environments

  • Support MECM and Intune

  • Support, maintain, and improve PC imaging processes

  • Monitor and evaluate overall server infrastructure to ensure optimum performance


Hardware and Software Support

  • Implement, and maintain server hardware and software

  • Administer licensing for applications including but not limited to AutoCAD, Minitab, SolidWorks, and Meridian


Troubleshooting and Support

  • Provide 24x7 on-call troubleshooting for server equipment and service desk escalations

  • Install and troubleshoot hardware/software, PCs, printers, servers, and other devices


Documentation and Process Improvement

  • Create and maintain documentation for servers, applications, and service desk procedures

  • Provide proactive solutions and recommendations to management for issues, expansion, or security

  • Demonstrate innovative and forward-thinking to improve processes, procedures, or performance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Extensive technical on-the-job experience and practical knowledge could replace academic experience

  • Experience in the industry specializing in servers, cloud, or another specific infrastructure area

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a Windows server environment

  • Technical knowledge of current standard company applications and network operations including Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Azure, TCP/IP, Windows Server (2003-current), Lotus Notes, FTP, Spam filters, MECM, Intune, group policy, VMware, Active Directory, IIS, DNS, and DHCP

  • Practical operating knowledge of Ethernet and WAN technology

  • Experience with automating tasks and processes is preferred

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication skills with management, end users, and other technicians

  • Ability to create and modify documentation

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary range: $79,200-118,800*
*The salary range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's individual merits and the company's compensation policies.
