Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as the internal IT operations and support coordination role for the organization, ensuring day-to-day technology needs, user support, system administration tasks, security follow-up, and operational IT processes are completed accurately and on time. The role acts as a bridge between internal departments and outsourced IT partners, helping drive accountability, escalation management, system reliability, onboarding/offboarding processes, documentation, and overall operational continuity across the business. Responsibilities include ticket oversight, security and licensing reviews, user account administration, hardware management, infrastructure monitoring, vendor coordination, and support of critical business systems and scheduled IT activities. This role is expected to proactively identify issues, communicate effectively across departments, and help maintain a stable, secure, and responsive IT environment for the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Morning review of new tickets to identify any overnight priority issues
  • Daily review of open tickets to verify status, delays, questions, or escalation needs
  • Backup tape ownership
  • Review and follow-up on SOC/security tickets
  • Verification that account creation is completed on time and correctly
  • Walkthroughs to identify major user issues, onsite needs, or urgent concerns
  • Identification and recovery of sensitive or high-value hardware during walkthroughs
  • Review and response to IT issues sent directly to the internal team
  • Review of vSphere for usage spikes or potential capacity concerns
  • Internal coordination on contractor status, blockers, and pending needs
  • Support for timed tasks such as email shutdowns or scheduled system activities
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation for both internal IT and Impact support needs
  • Internal new hire setup after AD creation, including software access and UAM updates
  • Touchbase meetings with external service to review service levels, needs, and open items
  • Internal security reviews to identify areas where adjustments are needed
  • Licensing reviews to ensure we remain operationally covered across platforms.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (Information Technology, or related field); preferred

Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience working in an IT organization supporting business technology needs
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, cybersecurity, network and system administration, databased and data storage systems and telecommunication systems

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, computer systems, networks, telecommunications, databases and storage systems
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Solid working knowledge of all relevant coding languages and security protocols
  • Strategic planning, budgeting, and employee development skills.
