Job description

LOGIS has an opportunity for an M365 Engineer.  You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth implementation, management, support of various Microsoft 365 applications and services in various environments, to enhance productivity, collaboration, and security across our membership organizations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as owner and primary administrator of the M365 application suite.
  • Deploy and configure M365 applications and services such as Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, SharePoint Online, and others based on organizational requirements. 
  • Design and execute migration strategies from on-premises environments to M365 cloud services. 
  • Administer user accounts, groups, and permissions within the M365 environment. 
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of M365 services. 
  • Implement and enforce security policies, compliance requirements, and data governance standards. 
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance M365-related issues and root cause analysis for escalated issues.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, features, and industry best practices. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance collaboration capabilities.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to junior staff as needed.
  • Provide training and support to customer's end-users, IT teams, and stakeholders on how to effectively utilize Microsoft 365 applications and features.
  • Create documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles to assist customers in adopting and maximizing the benefits of Microsoft 365.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions leveraging M365 capabilities.
  • Participate as a key stakeholder in M365 governance discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • 5+ years proven experience in deploying, configuring, and administering Microsoft 365 applications and services
  • In-depth knowledge of M365 components such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security best practices, data protection, and compliance requirements within the context of M365 services
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale technical projects, including organization, planning, implementation, and execution
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure and Office 365 
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management of M365 environments
  • Experience leveraging PowerApps to automate business processes and develop applications, forms, and workflows 
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to provide root cause analysis and demonstrate results through testing and metrics
  • Experience within client-facing professional services or consulting
  • Experience applying modern project management principles, practices, and tools
  • Understanding of vendor roadmaps and modern workplace principles
  • Microsoft Certifications: Azure, M365
