As the Senior Digital Media Trading Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our digital media trading operations. You will be responsible for managing campaign planning and delivery alongside an agency team that operates across DACH, ensuring effective collaboration, strategic alignment, and superior performance in digital media buying and trading services. You foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement by conducting regular performance reviews to provide constructive feedback to the involved internal and external parties. You are se seen as the expert and leader in digital marketing technology who is available to teams to advise and support on all platform related concerns. The Senior Digital Media Trading Lead looks also for opportunities to upskill the Digital Activation Managers to allow them to become self-sufficient in campaign set up and educate them on the importance of efficient use of CNCs, tags and pixels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning & execution of programmatic, social & ecommerce buying across DACH
  • Develop and implement trading strategies that maximize ROI and meet objectives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in digital media trading
  • Ensure seamless integration of strategies and operations across upper and lower funnel trading
  • Facilitate communication and workflow to achieve cohesive campaign execution
  • Promote a unified approach to data analysis, audience targeting, and media optimization
  • Monitor MarTech standards, develop taxonomy, and create dashboards to facilitate data-driven decisions and ensure alignment with industry best practices
  • Drive the localization of global MarTech strategies and initiatives while upskilling team members to enhance their capabilities in using advertising technology platforms
  • Make informed local MarTech decisions and set up advertising technology platforms to support Coty's marketing objectives effectively
  • Manage and implement advertising technology platforms and tools, ensuring their proper integration and functionality for campaign execution
  • Analyze data from ad tech platforms to improve campaign performance, including insights for optimization and adjustments to enhance ROI
  • Ensure we meet and exceed external auditor’s benchmarks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Ad tech vendors and media suppliers, ensuring that the tools and platforms meet the needs of Coty's Digital campaigns efficiently
  • Works with agency partners to ensure that Digital Media is fully optimized by analyzing performance and results within the digital landscape and by presenting strategic insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Localize and implement digital measurement methodology and optimize ongoing and immediate across all brands and campaigns
  • Tell the story behind the data to non-technical savvy team members and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders, distill best practices and insights from activities
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage core technologies (Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads, DoubleVerify, CreativeX, Adfidence etc.)
  • Digital campaign design coach with responsibilities to develop Learning Agenda, KPI development, in-campaign optimization & measurement strategy (MMM, BLS)
  • Design and deployment of audience segmentation across 1P / 2P / 3P Data sets within priority digital platforms inclusive of usage of TTD & AMZ DSP & CDP

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor / Master degree in Marketing, Media Management and/or Digital Communication
  • 8+ years working experience in a digital trading role in a Media Agency and/or company in the digital economy or FMCG company in a similar function
  • Proven track record in analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and analytics to understand and improve performance in real-time
  • Strong understanding of programmatic buying, RTB platforms, and digital media ecosystems
  • Experience with technologies such as Google Marketing Platform/Google Analytics, Google Ads, DoubleVerify, CreativeX, Adfidence, , etc.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, DCO, Audience Segmentation, Programmatic Media Buying, and Media Attribution
  • Understanding of other integrated Marketing channels including Retail Media, Social Media Marketing and Content Marketing
  • Results-driven and highly organized self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
