The Loan Processor Manager (LPM) provides oversight, guidance, and support to the Loan Processors in preparing loan documents. The LPM is expected to maintain current operational knowledge and subject matter expertise essential to the Loan Processor Role. The LPM will assist all branches by performing essential duties in the lending area in support of loan origination, loan documentation, servicing, and reporting, while leading the Loan Processors. The LPM will comply with all AgCredit, ACA policies and procedures while maintaining regular and punctual attendance as expected of this position.

What You'll Do:

Primary:

  • Manage the Loan Processor Team.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and support to all Loan Processors.
  • Monitor workloads to ensure equitable distribution and timely completion of tasks.
  • Lead the hiring process for new Loan Processors.
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing development and cross-training opportunities.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, share best practices, ensure process consistency, and address challenges.
  • Lead the performance evaluation process, prepare annual reviews, provide constructive feedback, and assist with goal setting, incorporating input from others across the Association.
  • Address and resolve routine personnel issues in consultation with management and Human Resources.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to management.
  • Manage and maintain accountability for Credit Delivery input and loan processing activities within the Association queue, including:
  • Collaborating with Account Officers and Loan Specialists to ensure the accurate, proper, and timely completion of all loan documentation.
  • Preparing and reviewing loan documents, including notes, mortgages, and mortgage modifications, to support the Association's ability to collect on each loan.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
  • Preparing loans for posting to the loan accounting system.
  • Supporting all other loan origination and operational processing activities to ensure proper loan documentation and processing.
  • Ensure the accurate, timely, and proper preparation of all required legal loan documentation, including but not limited to notes, mortgages, and mortgage modifications, to protect the Association's lending interests and ability to collect on loans.
  • Maintain the mortgage servicing reminder system to support ongoing loan servicing requirements.
  • Efficiently perform all position responsibilities to enhance the financial performance of the lending teams and the Association.

Secondary:

  • Performs the functions of a Loan Processor on an as-needed basis, primarily in response to staffing limitations or elevated workload demands, to support the Loan Processor Team and ensure uninterrupted delivery of products and services to applicants and members.
  • As needed, prepare, perform and/or file all collateral related processes and documents to perfect the Association's collateral and/or lien position for each loan.
  • Ensure the accurate, timely and proper preparation of all required compliance forms and documents.
  • Prepare, process, and/or perform all pre-closing credit and operations forms, checklists, documents and processes.
  • Work with the Lending Managers, Loan Specialists, and Account Officers to ensure proper loan approvals and all loans meet all approval requirements as boarded.
  • Ensure all borrower information, including but not limited to, loan files, financial information and personal information is stored in a secure setting at the end of each workday.
  • Actively promotes AgCredit's corporate core values.
  • Build enduring customer relationships based on adding value, knowledge, information, and quality service.
  • Promotes harmony and teamwork within the Association by maintaining a positive attitude towards members, prospects and team members.
  • Completes training programs as organized and/or approved by AgCredit
  • Provides support services to the Residential Lending team as needed and assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Two-year degree in Business or Ag Business with three years legal and/or credit related work experience OR high school graduate with five to seven years of legal and/or credit related work experience preferred.
  • Experience with legal documents and loan processing.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with a diverse group of people with a minimum of direction
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Use of discretionary judgment in making decisions and problem solving
  • Working knowledge of general business machines, i.e. PC, Calculator, copier, fax, etc.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge in the area of agriculture is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formats to recognize and correct correspondence and reports.
  • The ability to travel to lending offices, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, and other locations for training. Some overnight travel is expected.
