We currently have a career opportunity for a Full-time Loan Processor to join our Loan Processing team at our Fort Atkinson location.


The Loan Processor plays a critical role in supporting the full life cycle of commercial and consumer loans. This position is responsible for reviewing applications, verifying and organizing documentation, preparing and boarding loan packages, and ensuring accurate data entry into the Loan Origination System (LOS) and core banking system. The role also oversees post-closing and servicing functions, including payments, payoffs, renewals, escrow and insurance disbursements, collateral tracking, and reporting. In addition, the position supports audits, regulatory exams, and process improvement initiatives while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to all internal policies and regulatory requirementsย 


Essential Duties, include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and process commercial and consumer loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, verify, and organize all required documentation, including financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, collateral details, and entity formation documents (e.g., LLC/Corp paperwork).
  • Coordinate with loan officers, borrowers, attorneys, and third-party vendors (e.g., appraisers, title companies, insurance agents) to ensure timely receipt of required items.
  • Prepare and review loan documentation packages, ensuring accurate data entry in the Loan Origination System (LOS) and core banking system. Confirm loan approvals, terms, and structures are properly documented and coded prior to closing. Prepare funding memos and coordinate disbursement with accounting/operations teams.
  • Monitor and process loan payments, payoffs, rate changes, renewals, and other servicing transactions.
  • Manage disbursement of insurance payments and monitor expiring coverage, UCC filings, financial covenants, and other post-closing requirements.
  • Monitor and process escrow accounts, including property tax and insurance disbursements, ensuring timely payments and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate boarding, reporting, and servicing activities related to loan participations and/or sold loans.
  • Process loan modifications, extensions, and renewals in accordance with loan policy and approvals.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to loan balances, payments, escrow accounts, and payoff quotes.
  • Perform ongoing loan file maintenance (including imaging, indexing, and retention) to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with reporting requirements such as past due loans, portfolio reviews, and other management reports.
  • Support internal and external audits or regulatory exams by gathering documentation and answering servicing-related inquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect customer information in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on changes in lending regulations and policies.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives and provide cross-training support within the loan processing team as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or similar; one year or more of general bank and/or lending experience; Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable to the financial industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial institution and lending products, services and best practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of privacy, audit, and legal technology standards, guidelines, and principles.ย 
  • Exceptional customer services and sales skills with the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
