Job description

Job Title: LMS Systems Developer

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain the organization's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Create and manage LMS integrations with external systems (e.g., SIS, HRIS, SSO, content platforms).
  • Design and implement automation workflows to improve efficiency in course deployment and user management.
  • Work with instructional designers and content creators to support course structure, templates, and learning paths.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and general maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related technical issues.
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with security standards.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support instructional goals and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide end-user support and training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Education Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and maintaining LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, TalentLMS, Docebo).
  • Proficiency in web development technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, or Node.js.
  • Experience with LMS APIs (REST, SOAP) and database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), and LTI standards.
  • Understanding of SSO, user authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML), and role-based access control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Federal Experience is a plus.
