Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Entry-Level Safety Specialist to support our workplace health and safety programs. The Safety Specialist will assist in promoting a safe work environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting inspections, and supporting employee safety initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin a career in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
- Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Participate in safety audits and corrective action follow-ups.
- Assist with the delivery of employee safety training and orientation programs.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response planning.
- Communicate safety policies and procedures to employees and contractors.
- Assist leadership in developing and implementing safety improvement initiatives.
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minor travel required (approximately 20%), with no weekend travel expected.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification.
- Internship or previous experience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, or industrial environments.
- CPR/First Aid certification.

- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions as required.
