Job description

Job Type: Full-time, Live-in

Free Fully Furnished 1-BR Apartment + Utilities + Vehicle Provided

About the Opportunity

We are an active senior couple seeking a reliable, mature, and highly organized individual or couple to manage our primary residence. For the past 20 years, we have enjoyed long-term, successful relationships with our live-in estate managers (averaging 4–5 years per placement).

Because we travel extensively, this position offers a unique balance of active daily management and quiet "house-sitting" periods. This is an exceptional opportunity for a solo professional or a couple—particularly if one partner works from home, as the provided apartment offers an ideal, quiet remote-work environment.

What We Offer (The Perks)

  • Premium Living Arrangements: A beautiful, fully furnished, private 1-bedroom apartment located on the property with all utilities included.

  • Vehicle Provided: Access to a late-model automobile for all household shopping, errands, and airport transport.

  • Travel Flexibility: When we travel, your duties shift primarily to house-sitting, mail forwarding, and vendor oversight.

  • Relocation Assistance: Negotiable for the right candidate.

  • Stability: We are looking for a long-term fit and are willing to wait for the perfect match.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping & Organization: Maintain the residence to high standards, including daily cleaning, laundry, and linens.

  • Errands & Shopping: Handle grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop-offs, Post Office runs, and occasional airport pick-ups/drop-offs.

  • Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for routine on-site services, including landscapers, pool maintenance, and repair technicians.

  • Travel Management: Secure and watch the home while we are away, ensuring mail is forwarded and vendors are supervised.

If applying as a couple: One partner will hold the primary role outlined above. The second partner will be expected to assist on a flexible, part-time basis with light maintenance tasks that require physical agility (e.g., safely using a ladder to change lightbulbs or rearranging furniture).

Position Requirements

  • Experience: Background in residential property management, estate management, executive housekeeping, or high-end care (experience or similar background is highly valued).

  • Maturity & Reliability: Ideally suited for an energetic, mature professional (minimum age 26) who understands the discretion and boundaries required for a live-in role.

  • Physical Agility: Must be comfortable climbing a ladder for light maintenance and handling active daily household tasks. (No specific weight lifting requirements, just general physical fitness).

  • Valid Driver’s License: With a clean driving record to utilize the provided estate vehicle.

  • Certifications: While a Certified Home Manager or Butler certification is a definite plus, it is not required. We value practical experience, trustworthiness, and a service-oriented mindset above all else.

  • Flexibility: A cheerful, adaptable attitude is key, especially navigating the shift between our busy periods and our travel periods.
