What are live in companions?

Live in companions are caregivers who reside in the home of the person they are assisting, often providing support to elderly or disabled individuals. Their primary responsibilities include offering companionship, assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and sometimes helping with personal care. Live in companions help individuals maintain independence and comfort by allowing them to remain in their own homes rather than moving to assisted living facilities.
