Familiarity with first aid, mobility aids, and household safety protocols is typically required, and CPR certification is highly valued. Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal communication are vital soft skills for building trust and rapport with clients. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring the client's well-being, comfort, and quality of life in their home environment.
