Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC/controls troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment issues on the production line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.

  • Respond promptly to production line maintenance calls and equipment breakdowns.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, controls, and automation systems.

  • Diagnose equipment problems, analyze machine performance, and recommend improvements.

  • Support startup activities and ensure equipment is operational at the beginning of each shift.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment downtime, maintenance activities, and repairs.

  • Complete daily reports and communicate equipment status and issues effectively.

  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and Layered Process Audits (LPA).

  • Maintain parts inventory and identify required replacement components.

  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and workplace safety procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Assist with process improvements and document maintenance-related improvements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime or flexible schedules as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and industrial controls.

  • Experience with PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley and Siemens Step 7.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment drawings.

  • Working knowledge of robotics, automation, welding, and fabrication.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or Fabrication.

  • Forklift and/or Manlift certification.

  • Safety certification.

  • Experience with building/facility maintenance.

  • Experience with continuous improvement and production downtime reduction.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Ability to respond to equipment issues on the production floor.
