Title: Shift Mechanic (D-Shift Schedule, see details below)


Reports to: Shift Supervisor


Job Summary: A Shift Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and repairing production equipment


Job Duties / Responsibilities

- Keeping the production equipment in working order

- Utilize critical thinking to diagnose reason for equipment not functioning as required

- Repairing broken machines to safely resume production

- Basic weld simple pieces to return a machine to work

- Pipe threading

- Perform preventative maintenance

- Maintain a clean and safe workspace

- Report any unsafe work conditions to Shift Supervisor

- Repair any leaking tanks, lines, baghouse to prevent additional spills

- Operate a forklift and manlift to assist in repairing process

- Ability to perform LOTO


Work Conditions

- Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, walking, crouching, or bending for long periods of time

- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db and above

- Exposure to hazard associated with the trade

- Must be able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures

- Safety equipment and procedures are always required


Training / Requirements

- High School Diploma / GED Required

- Initial In-House Training (General Orientation, HazCom, PPE, Safety Policies, Company Rules)

- Complete and maintain Forklift Operation certification.
