Job description

Position Description ONLINE EXAM WINDOW TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 31 - SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 INTERVIEWS TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 14 - 15, 2026 The Fresno County Public Library is offering an outstanding career opportunity and is seeking motivated and experienced individuals for the position of Library Maintenance Supervisor. The Library Maintenance Supervisor supervises a group of Maintenance Janitors, and skilled craftsman positions providing maintenance, repair, and janitorial services to the Fresno County Library and its branches; and performs related work as required. Incumbents prioritize maintenance and repair work, prepare cost estimates and job orders, and carry out the job order or oversee its performance by a maintenance staff or private contractor.

The Library Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all Central Library janitorial services, as well as routine maintenance and heavy cleaning of all County Library Branches. Applicants must be willing to work irregular shifts, evenings and weekends and travel between the various Library branches throughout the County. In addition, the incumbent responds to routine and emergency maintenance calls, and fire/intrusion alarm responses during normal business hours, after-hours, and weekends.
