Job description

Job Scope

The ERP Analyst s role is to maintain and operate the organization's ERP system by following best practices. This includes installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and working with product support, to maintain the company's investments in business applications technologies.
The ERP Analyst is also responsible for planning and coordinating change management processes required to support third-party business systems integrated with the ERP system necessary for business operations.
The ERP Analyst manages user requests, develops user reporting requests using SQL and performs system security administration functions such as creating user profiles and accounts. The analyst also maintains system/user security authentication, administers application security and maintains system documentation and logs. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to resolve issues related to deploying or upgrading mission-critical ERP software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • As our ERP Analyst, key responsibilities include:
    • Supporting Users requests
      • Answering questions or providing directions on software functionality / menus / options
      • Identifying, coordinating and scheduling software training
      • Inquiring about, submitting cases to and following up with software support
      • Coordinating and working with outside technical resources providing programming specifications
      • Uses SQL to create ad hoc and special reporting, and to extract pertinent data to validate data
      • Creating and maintaining our business forms on demand utilizing Compleo
      • Maintaining and refreshing our software test environment as required
      • Assisting associates with identifying, manipulating, exporting, and importing key data elements, such as BOMs, pricing, etc.
      • Maintaining and creating Webtop analytical dashboard data and views
      • Maintaining and creating IDF objects, views, subsets, sorts
      • Correcting, clearing errors and maintaining LX and Touchpath databases as needed
      • Ordering Users supplies such as labels, etc.
    • Maintaining and creating new Robot jobs, ensuring all Robot jobs (daily, weekly, monthly, and annually) are scheduled, complete successfully and reports distributed
    • Organizing, documenting and maintaining important procedural documents, data points and scripts
    • Creating and maintaining our LX / MES / Touchpath analytical dashboard user profiles and their credentials
    • Ensuring all IBM iSeries data backups are completed successfully
    • Restoring relevant archived data as needed
    • Working with and scheduling off-hours technical support

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science or related IT field or 4-5 years of applicable IT experience
  • Possesses functional knowledge of ERP-LX and has the ability to maintain and support user requirements
  • Experience using SQL to develop user reports, analyze and research data
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills; capable of explaining procedures verbally or in writing, with end-users and technical consultants
  • Business skills to interact with IT service-providers for contracts, services, and licensing
  • Critical thinking, troubleshooting skills and operate independently or in a group setting
  • Aptitude to learn new skills and gain knowledge through experience
  • RPG programming A plus.
