Job Description

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies.

SCITLS is a key component that ensures mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

Our work depends on a SCITLS Power BI/SharePoint Administrator Principal joining our team to oversee the administration of Power BI and SharePoint tools that support USSTRATCOM. The SCITLS Power BI/SharePoint Administrator Principal will be an essential component in ensuring the effective operation of vital systems and engineering the success of the SCITLS mission.

This is an ON-SITE, DAY SHIFT (on-call work may be required) position at Offutt AFB, Sarpy County, Nebraska.

HOW A SCITLS POWER BI/SHAREPOINT ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Manages Power Platform and SharePoint; administers integrations with other systems.

  • Manages access rights/control and provides user support as needed.

  • Manages the settings that govern Power BI and SharePoint users for an organization.

  • Manages on-premises data gateways, including creating data sources, managing data source users, and deleting the gateway.

  • Registers on-premises data sources with the Power BI and SharePoint Admin Centers to enable cloud access.

  • Creates, deletes, and manages users.

  • Creates, deletes, and updates datasets, and manages the schema and data sources connected to the datasets.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint

  • Power Apps Development

  • Power Automate Development

  • SharePoint Front End Administration (building Lists, Libraries, Managing Site Collections, Data Governance)

  • Proficiency with JavaScript

  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs

  • Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) for data transformation and shaping

  • Knowledge of data source connectivity, including on-prem and cloud-based sources (SQL Server, SharePoint, Azure, etc)

  • Experience setting up and enforcing data governance, naming conventions, and workspace policies.

  • Experience supporting Power BI and SharePoint users, including troubleshooting, onboarding, and training.

  • Ability to collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical issues into clear, actionable guidance.

  • Ability to manage Power BI and SharePoint licensing, security groups, and user access provisioning

  • Understanding of ETL Processes, data pipelines, and data integrity best practices

  • Integration of Power Automate with Power BI (alert-triggered workflows, dataset refresh automation)

  • Proficient in building Power Automate flows for process automation

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to provide subject-matter expertise to other administrators


Required Certifications:

  • Must possess or be able to obtain within 9 months of start the ITIL v4 or v5: Foundation Certification

  • Must possess or be able to obtain within 30 days of start one of the following certifications: CompTia Cloud+ -or- GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) -or- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) -or- ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Security Clearance Level: Must possess and maintain an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI-eligibility

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
