Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Maintenance Technician III to contribute to our Distribution team in Fort Wayne, IN.  Under limited supervision, this person will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics and repairs, relating to distribution center facilities and equipment. The Technician will ensure that all equipment in the distribution center facility is maintained properly, by performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment to OEM standards.  This individual will partner with leadership in daily support to internal customers and the maintenance team.

Pay starting at $34/hr+ DOE

Schedule: 

  • 2nd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 4:30pm – 1:00am

What You’ll Need:

  • Technical Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 5+ years in a facility maintenance position, with 2+ years in electrical repair.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.
  • 2 years conveyor maintenance and repair experience

What You’ll Do:

  • Prioritize and schedule equipment repairs and Preventative Maintenance, in collaboration with the management team.
  • Assist in determining needs for equipment, parts and supplies.
  • Evaluate equipment failures and provide complex emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment. 
  • Ensure repairs and equipment downtime does not negatively impact the ability to meet service level agreements. 
  • Partner with leadership to drive successful implementation of team objectives.
  • Effectively communicate technical/automation needs and concerns to internal and external customers, to include Engineering.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and vendors to ensure target achievements in technical/maintenance support.

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk continuously during the assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 100lbs during the assigned shift – 30lbs or less continuously, 50lbs frequently, and 100lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift.
  • Ability to bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.
  • Ability to work designated shift including overtime as required, which could include time before or after the designated shift and/or weekends.
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
  • Willingness and ability to be equipment certified and able to meet physical requirements of equipment operator
