POSITION SUMMARY

The Legal Recruiting Specialist reports to the Firm's Director of Legal Recruiting and assists with the management of lateral partner recruitment for all firm offices. The Specialist will also support the Firm's Chief Talent Officer with recruiting, integration and onboarding and other projects. The Specialist's primary responsibility will be scheduling a high volume of interviews in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities will include liaising with outside legal search firms, collecting interview feedback and communicating status updates to senior level stakeholders.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supports the recruitment of lateral partners firmwide, through scheduling interviews, coordinating on site and virtual interview logistics, and supervising the collection of feedback.

2. Monitors and maintains candidate pipeline, including regular check ins on the stage of each process, updating all candidate records ensuring data integrity on a daily basis.

3. Exercises sound judgment and adaptability in navigating evolving priorities, shifting schedules, and sensitive situations common in senior-level recruiting processes.

4. Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

5. Manages the collection of candidate documentation, including but not limited to business plans and Lateral Partner Questionnaires.

6. Acts as a point of contact for lateral partner candidates and/or recruiters from initial approach and throughout the process, ensuring consistent communication and feedback.

7. Coordinates and communicates with the Risk and conflicts team on preliminary conflict checks for each candidate.

8. Conducts initial e-diligence on each candidate introduction, escalating issues or concerns if needed to the Director of Legal Recruiting and CTO.

9. Assists in the preparation of offer letters for all candidates liaising with other departments as necessary.

10. Assists with partner onboarding and integration efforts.

11. Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Legal Recruiting Specialist must have a High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred. At least three to five years of experience in a law firm or legal recruitment agency is required. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Must be highly organized and have the ability to independently multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Must possess an excellent client-service approach to interactions with team members, vendors and candidates, as well as outstanding professionalism and communication skills to manage a variety of daily tasks and provide optimal client service. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, attention to detail, be process driven and pro-active in their approach to information gathering.

The salary range for this position is $73K to $90K.

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
