Legal Recruiting Manager

At Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP, our people are our greatest asset. We're looking for a proactive, relationship-focused Legal Recruiting Manager to support U.S. associate, counsel, post-clerk, and patent agent lateral recruiting initiatives. This role partners closely with practice group leaders, senior management, and People & Culture teams to attract top legal talent while supporting firmwide recruiting strategies.
What You'll Do
  • Support the full-cycle lateral recruiting process across U.S. offices, including sourcing, candidate review, interviews, offers, post-offer follow-up, and onboarding.
  • Partner with practice group leaders, hiring partners, senior leadership, and recruiting teams to develop and execute effective hiring strategies and ensure consistency across the firm.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with search firms and candidates, leveraging LinkedIn, Firm Prospects, and other recruiting platforms to strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Analyze and interpret firmwide and industry data, identify hiring trends, and provide strategic recommendations to recruiting and firm leadership.
  • Support clerkship recruiting events, update job postings and offer letters, and contribute to recruiting process improvements.
  • Supervise and contribute to the professional development of junior Attorney Recruiting team members.

What You'll Bring
  • Four-plus years of law firm recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and recruiting technology.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct legal recruiting experience, particularly associate and counsel lateral recruiting.
  • Experience within a law firm.
  • Experience managing or mentoring recruiting professionals.
  • Familiarity with Workday Recruiting, FloRecruit, LinkedIn, and Firm Prospects.

This position may be filled in the following locations. The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
New York compensation range: $123,090 to $190,430 annually
