The Legal Recruiting Assistant helps maintain accurate recruiting records and timely communications with candidates, law schools, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to support an organized and professional hiring process. This role operates in a support capacity under the direction of the Associate Director of Legal Recruiting and Professional Development and escalates non-routine issues, exceptions, or candidate-sensitive matters as appropriate.

  • Relevant internship experience or early professional experience in an administrative, recruiting, human resources, legal, campus recruiting, or professional services capacity.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks, maintain accuracy, and communicate professionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of candidate and personnel-related information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn recruiting technology platforms.

This position is based in Proskauer's Los Angeles office and will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

Proskauer is committed to providing a work environment that includes equal opportunity without regard to race, color, gender, age, creed, sex, religion, national origin, disability (physical or mental), marital status, citizenship, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, or any other legally protected status.

  • Maintain organized recruitment records and ensure timely communication with candidates and law schools to support a smooth and professional hiring process.
  • Serve as the liaison for students invited for call-back interviews.
  • Schedule multiple in-office interviews per day and handle all cancellations/changes as they arise.
  • Track interview feedback.
