Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support across a wide range of legal functions, ensuring smooth operations within the law office. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help facilitate legal research, document management, case preparation, and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with legal research using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and iManage to support case development and legal strategies
  • Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail
  • Manage legal case files and document management systems to ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval of case information
  • Conduct comprehensive document review and organize evidence for litigation or transactional matters
  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating client interviews or interviews with witnesses
  • Draft clear and concise legal writing to support case summaries, memos, and reports

Skills

  • At least 2 years experience as a legal assistant focusing in litigation.
  • Possess excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and communication skills.
  • Be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Be discreet with confidential information.
