The Specialist, Learning & Development is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing effective training programs that enhance workforce capability, ensure compliance, and support continuous improvement. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, quality, and HR teams to develop training solutions that meet industry standards and organizational needs, fostering a culture of operational excellence and employee growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess training needs across production, engineering, quality, and support functions to identify skill gaps and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and facilitate training programs on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, safety, regulatory compliance, and leadership development.
  • Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, e-learning modules, and competency documentation aligned with ISO, OSHA, and industry standards.
  • Manage onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience.
  • Implement systems for tracking training completion, skill progression, and certification renewals using the LMS.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize training effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of training programs through audits, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep training content current with process changes and new equipment.
  • Provide coaching and support to frontline leaders to strengthen workplace performance and compliance.
  • Manage external vendors and specialized technical training providers as needed.
  • Prepare training reports for audits, leadership reviews, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead learning and development team.

Qualifications
Require Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles within a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, safety, quality systems, and compliance standards (ISO, OSHA).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training documentation processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Familiar with Compliance Wire, electronic quality management system (ETQ), and Agile PLM.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English for business communication.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, high-tech assembly, or MedTech environments.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, Six Sigma, TWI (Training Within Industry), CPTD/ATD (Certified Professional in Talent Development).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading learning and development team.
  • Second language other than English.
