While this is a hybrid role, it requires heavy in-person programs delivery and the candidate must be able to travel to different Emory Healthcare locations within Atlanta and attend in-person meetings as scheduled. 

Description

The Learning and Development Program Manager role is part of the Emory Healthcare's System Talent team and directly enables the organization's commitment to be the best place to grow by building and deploying development programs that optimize the learners experience and business impact.

The role reports to the Corporate Director, Learning and Development and will be responsible for the program management and facilitation of Emory Healthcare's core front-line leadership development programs across the system.

The role requires strong facilitation skills to connect with our program participants, in a virtually facilitated or in-person formats and support their learning experience and insights.

Program Management

  • Leads the development of project plans to ensure agreed outcomes in learning and development for leadership courses are achieved
  • Responsible for owning the frontline core leadership development offerings including continuous improvement of content design and ongoing delivery across Emory Healthcare. This includes Leadership Essentials and One-Day Leadership Workshops
  • Create and implement a reporting process to measure progress and impact of training and development programs and processes to ensure desired outcomes are being met and continuous improvements are being made
  • Monitor, review and conduct program evaluations to measure effectiveness, training impact, ROI/costs, and compile training progress reports
  • Own communications strategy to drive awareness of learning and development programs including partnering with EHC communications team on marketing materials such as brochures, catalogs, emails, system communications etc.
  • Operationalize learning strategies managing learning and development logistics by establishing program agendas, room bookings, organizing catering, scheduling speakers and coordinating training invite etc.
  • Owns any vendor and external partner management for programs as identified
  • Maintains professional growth by participating in educational programs and professional organizations and activities to maintain a knowledge of national trends and to promote leading edge performance and expertise within the department
  • Working with HR and key stakeholders to ensure deliver relevant, meaningful and practical learning solutions at sale
  • Act as a producer as needed for sessions and for SME delivered content

Advanced Facilitation

  • Facilitates high quality training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, videos and platforms to support virtual and in-person learning (occasional travel may be required)
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and develops a thorough understanding of learning program content and employs advanced facilitation techniques to help employees learn, develop and grow
  • Facilitate a variety learning and development programs across Emory Healthcare such as onboarding, professional skills, leadership, culture, and emerging needs
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to ensure consistent delivery of programs

Program Design

  • Design training and development programs to address business needs relating to professional development, functional development, team building, leadership development and talent reviews
  • Curate training and development content in to multi-modal experiences for maximum training and development impact
  • Researches new training materials and best practices to address learning gaps, improve engagement and provide value to employees
  • Leads the design of learning and development courses and programs including in-person, virtual and instructor lead
  • Support leadership development programs, promote and educate regarding leadership competencies in the workplace, organize leadership assessments and tools

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Development, Adult Education, Industrial Psychology or related field OR relevant experience
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in a lead learning or organizational development role
  • 7+ years of experience project managing leadership learning programs to develop organizational capability
  • Specialist-level depth in learning and development
  • Master-level facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a variety of audiences
  • Strong experience partnering and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong project management skills; organized and detail-oriented
  • Proven experience in leading learning and development, talent management or human resources initiatives or projects
  • Experience working with and facilitating to all levels of the organization across a wide range of Talent and Learning areas including - Growth Mindset, Coaching and Development, Change Management, Crucial Conversations, Conflict Resolution, Employee Engagement, Feedback, and more
  • Ability to apply functional expertise to design and deploy learning solutions
  • Strong communication skills; ability to effectively present learning analytics and qualitative insights concisely to leadership
  • Innovative thinking and proven ability to research innovative learning and development practices and tools to continuously enrich and enhance Emory Healthcare learning and development practice
  • Tolerance for ambiguity balanced with the ability to organize and deploy practical solutions
  • Customer centricity focus and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • 360 assessment coaching experience preferred
