Job description

Job Title: Learning & Development Associate
Location: Hybrid (Canton or Merriweather MD)
Role Type: Contract
Work Schedule: Primarily remote with occasional onsite attendance based on business needs (approximately once per month).
Job Summary
We are seeking a Learning & Development Associate to support the delivery of engaging training programs for new and existing employees. This role is responsible for facilitating both virtual and instructor-led training, onboarding new hires, and ensuring employees gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong presentation skills and experience delivering training through Microsoft Teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions for new hires and existing employees.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) using Microsoft Teams.
  • Support onboarding and learning initiatives across the organization.
  • Train employees on internal tools, systems, and business processes.
  • Manage classroom participation and create an interactive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with learners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support training activities.
  • Track training completion, gather feedback, and recommend process improvements.
  • Create, update, and maintain training materials and documentation.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite to prepare presentations, reports, and training resources.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 23 years of experience delivering corporate training, adult learning, or instructor-led training.
  • At least 1 year of experience facilitating virtual training sessions.
  • Experience delivering training through Microsoft Teams or similar virtual platforms.
  • Strong classroom management and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic technical issues during virtual training.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required.
