The Senior Group Manager of Sourcing Learning, Development and Change Management is a pivotal leadership role responsible for building the capabilities, culture, and organizational readiness required to execute our global sourcing strategy. Sitting at the intersection of people development, operational excellence and strategic transformation, this leader will design and drive a comprehensive L&D agenda across the sourcing function while orchestrating change programs that ensure our partners are equipped to deliver on our business objectives and brand promise.
As a Senior Group Manager, Sourcing L&D, you will...
  • Learning & development strategy
  • Own and evolve the Sourcing L&D strategy, ensuring it aligns with corporate objectives, brand values and the evolving demand of global supply chain
  • Conduct skills gap analysis across sourcing, finance, innovation, process, analytics and policy to develop and deliver a multi-year capability roadmap
  • Design, curate and deliver blended learning programs (classroom, digital, on-the-job, peer learning, etc) for sourcing teams at all levels - from early career to senior leadership
  • Build a sourcing academy framework including onboarding journeys, functional curricula and leadership development pathways
  • Partner with external training providers, industry bodies and universities to bring best-in-class content and accreditation to the function
  • Change Management
  • Lead end-to-end change management for major sourcing transformation initiatives and process re-engineering including operating model, system implementations (PLM, ERP, etc)
  • Develop change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement plans, communication frameworks, and resistance management strategies
  • Embed structured change methodology across the sourcing function, building internal change capability over time
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on people and culture considerations within transformation projects
  • Measure and report adoption, proficiency and benefit realization metrics for all change initiatives
  • Supplier Relationship Development
  • Design and implement supplier-facing development programs that uplift capability in quality, compliance, process redesign and innovation
  • Collaborate with Supplier Relationship management team to identify and address capability gaps within the supply base
  • Build scalable digital learning assets accessible to global supplier partners across diverse markets and languages
  • Stakeholder Leadership and Culture
  • Partner with Sourcing Leadership and Partner Resources Teams to embed a high performance, continuous learning culture within the sourcing organization
  • Champion Starbucks values with learning design, ensuring content and delivery are globally inclusive
  • Build and lead a small team of L&D and change management professionals; develop team members through coaching and stretch assignments
  • Measurement and Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and track KIPs for learning effectiveness capability growth and change adoption using data-driven approaches
  • Apply learning evaluation frameworks to continually improve program design and ROI
  • Leverage technology platforms to deliver scalable, measurable learning
  • Maintain and incorporate a current view of external trends in sourcing, supply chain innovation and L&D best practices

We'd love to hear from people with:
  • 7+ years experience in L&D, organizational development or change management
  • Demonstrated expertise in sourcing or supply chain L&D
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale change programs across complex, global organizations
  • Deep knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles and blended learning methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Postgraduate qualification in Organizational Psychology or related discipline

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
