This position is remote eligible for up to 40% of the time once training is completed. Hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Pay and Incentive Plan:
Starting Pay: $39.03 per hour

Purpose:
The Employee Communications Business Partner consults with leaders and stakeholders to develop and execute strategic internal communications that connect employees to the organization's purpose, strategic priorities, business goals, change initiatives, and culture. This role strengthens clarity, alignment, and engagement across the organization.
Accountabilities:
Strategic Communications and Change Support
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess communication needs, risks, and opportunities and develop strategies that align with business priorities, organizational change, and employee engagement goals.
  • Provide guidance on audience segmentation, messaging, channel selection, timing, and communication approach based on business context and stakeholder needs.
  • Lead end-to-end communication planning and execution for assigned initiatives and programs, including timelines, reviews, approvals, and delivery coordination.
  • Support leader and manager readiness through key messages, talking points, toolkits, and other communication planning resources.
  • Develop, edit, and deliver clear, audience-centered communications that translate complex business information into relevant, actionable messages across channels and formats.
  • Create presentations, visuals, and other supporting materials that enhance understanding, alignment, and engagement.

Coordination, Measurement, and Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate communication effectiveness using engagement metrics, feedback, and insights.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve communication strategies, messaging, and channel effectiveness.
  • Apply AI tools and other technologies appropriately to support research, content development, and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate across the Employee Experience Platform & Engagement team and provide back-up support.

Ongoing Professional Development
  • Stay current on communications, engagement, change management, and emerging practices to strengthen impact and partnership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • In addition, a minimum of 4 years of experience in employee communications, internal communications, organizational communications, change communications, or related communications work, including communication planning, message development, content creation, stakeholder collaboration, and multi-channel delivery in a business, educational, non-profit, healthcare, or similarly complex organizational environment
  • Proven experience developing and executing communication strategies across channels and audiences
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and message-development skills, with the ability to tailor content to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong consulting, relationship building, and influencing skills with leaders and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgement in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of graphic design principles, layout, and storyboarding for print, presentation, and video communications
  • Ability to measure communication effectiveness and apply insights for improvement
