Position Summary
The Development Coordinator supports Brightlane Learning's fundraising and donor engagement efforts by supporting the planning and execution of special events, strengthening donor stewardship initiatives, and assisting with donor base expansion. This role works closely with the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Director of Development to implement development strategies that advance both annual and long-term fundraising goals aligned with the organization's strategic plan. The Development Coordinator plays a critical role in increasing departmental capacity, fostering meaningful donor relationships, and ensuring a positive and consistent supporter experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Fundraising & Special Events Coordination
- Support planning and execution of special events, including logistics, timelines, vendor coordination, and volunteer engagement
- Lead identification and outreach to auction donors and event partners
- Support event committees by coordinating communications, materials, and follow-up
- Research and coordinate cause-related marketing opportunities to increase visibility and funding
- Attend evening third-party fundraising events and represent Brightlane Learning, including delivering brief remarks, as needed
- Donor Cultivation & Stewardship
- Lead execution of Brightlane Learning's annual thank-a-thon, ensuring donor appreciation efforts are organized, meaningful, and well-documented
- Support donor recognition and stewardship activities to strengthen donor engagement and retention
- Assist with donor communications, acknowledgments, and engagement touchpoints
- Donor Base Expansion & Development Support
- Support efforts to expand and diversify the donor base through research and outreach assistance
- Assist with identification of potential corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
- Contribute to fundraising campaigns and initiatives that support new or expanded programming
- Administrative & Team Support
- Maintain accurate donor and event records in designated tracking systems
- Support reporting and tracking of fundraising activities and outcomes
- Collaborate effectively with the development team to meet deadlines and fundraising priorities

Work Schedule
Ideally in office Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays
