Learning & Development Manager

Location: Bowling Green, KY (Hybrid)

Reports To: Vice President, Human Resources

Travel: Up to 50% across multiple sites and states

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + 10% Bonus Potential

Position Summary

Bluegrass Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead training, onboarding, leadership development, and workforce capability initiatives across our growing multi-site operation.

This highly visible role partners with Operations, HR, Safety, and Executive Leadership to design and deliver scalable learning solutions that improve employee performance, engagement, retention, and career growth. The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys creating programs that make a measurable business impact.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute company-wide learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and implement onboarding, technical, compliance, safety, leadership, and professional development programs.
  • Establish and manage a Train-the-Trainer program across multiple locations.
  • Own the onboarding process and new hire development through the first 90 days of employment.
  • Design and facilitate supervisor and manager development programs focused on coaching, leadership, and employee engagement.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), training records, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop training materials including facilitator guides, presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids.
  • Partner with site leaders and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Measure program effectiveness through training metrics, retention data, learner feedback, and operational performance indicators.
  • Travel regularly to support training delivery, site assessments, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPTD, SHRM-CP/SCP, or similar are preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Training experience.
  • 3+ years supporting multi-site operations.
  • Experience within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, transportation, or industrial environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven success designing, facilitating, and implementing training programs for frontline employees and leaders.

SKILLS

  • Strong instructional design and adult learning expertise.
  • Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and improve training effectiveness.
