JOB SUMMARY

This position supports and assists in equipping and enhancing employees with skills and tools to be successful in their job duties. Collaboratively work in the planning, development, implementation and facilitation of learning and development programs for Louisville Water Company. Provide ongoing support of company learning programs by utilizing needs analysis and instructional design methods. This role involves hands‑on coaching, facilitating workshops, and development and delivery of training sessions in various formats, such as e‑learning, in‑person workshops and proctoring of assessments across the organization


This position utilizes and supports the maintenance and management of the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) application, with a specific focus on the Learning & Development and Career & Performance modules for the Learning and Development Department. Responsible for the coordination and maintenance of Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) within HCM and the digital learning strategy across the HR team.


Assist in the continuous updating and/or redesign of all methods of existing training materials, as well as training documentation and records. Create learning modules independently, utilizing a blended learning approach as well as using subject matter experts throughout the organization.


Work to promote a culture of learning and professional development at the organization.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Be a learning management system expert, by understanding features and functionality to effectively drive utilization by L&D and the organization overall. Be knowledge of online learning/LMS best practices from an administrator and end user standpoint. Have a strong knowledge of learning authoring tools, e-learning software and IT systems to facilitate course development.


Provide on‑going administration and data analytics of Learning & Development’s HCM current and future modules, assuring stability and performance of the products in the production environment as well as ensuring quarterly updates are reviewed and tested for the L&D modules. Work collaboratively withthe broader HR team andIT department to identify and support quarterly update maintenance schedules.


Develop instructor‑led and online training content, which requires thorough needs assessment to identify knowledge and skills gaps. Utilize instructional design methodologies to ensure training content is structured, interactive, and caters to diverse learning styles and the needs of the organization.


Partners with leaders and key business stakeholders to develop effective, innovative and scalable learning solutions designed to broaden skill sets at various levels of the organization to reinforce a culture of learning. Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns related to training initiatives.


Apply change and project management methodologies to plan, organize, conduct, adjust and complete projects on time and within resource allocations, including those projects worked alone and those leading others.


Work Learning & Development team to coordinate special projects as required. Leverage productivity by coaching and learning from others within Learning & Development team and across organization.


Represents and communicates the mission and values of Louisville Water Company and complies with its conduct policy, security policy and confidentiality expectations.


Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.


Perform other duties as assigned.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Generally, works a 40‑hour week in an office environment. Requires occasional travel between Company locations and involves field operations training.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or related field; and

  • Seven (7) years of experience in corporate learning/organizational development, adult learning, instructional design, creating and designing training programs using systems such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate and various LMS platforms (web‑based, classroom, blended, field instruction, etc.) Experience with custom authoring software development, digital design experience. Familiar with SCORM, AICC and xAPI standards (Oracle HCM is a plus); and

  • Valid driver’s license.
