This position is a full-time temporary in-office internship opportunity beginning in January 2027. Students will take a semester off from school and work out of our West Des Moines office. This role will provide support to our commercial real estate professionals on the appraisal and consulting and/or valuation management team, on a national basis, on all major property types, for our national clients which include some of the largest and most prominent financial institutions, pension funds, and insurance companies. Duties would include learning about commercial real estate research, data, the three approaches to value, assisting with preparation of appraisal reports, coordinating the valuation management appraisal review process, tracking, and closing out quarterly processes. We are seeking interns that have problem solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills, analytically minded, ability to meet deadlines, self-motivated, and execute at a high level.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Involved with performing valuations and/or appraisal reviews
  • Manage workflow to produce on time deliveries
  • Help execute portfolio valuations and large consulting engagements through implementation of organizational and technical skills
  • Communication/coordinate with market participants, clients, and co-workers
  • Review 3rd party appraisal reports
  • Research property and market information
  • Analyze subject and comparable data
  • Develop appraisal and consulting reports and other deliverables
  • Work independently on projects and also collaborate 'face to face' as a team player
  • Managing processes and procedures
  • Track the entire workflow process from beginning to end
  • Other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree - preferred fields of study include Real Estate, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Special Requirements:
  • The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment

Working Conditions:
  • Office environment with frequent computer, mouse, keyboard use
  • Alternating between sitting or standing as needed
  • Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping

The annual full time base salary range for this role is
$20.00 - $25.00
Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
