Job description

Associate Veterinarian

At All Creatures, we believe great medicine starts with a team that feels supported, valued, and able to breathe. We’ve built a workplace where an Associate Veterinarian can practice with clarity, confidence, and compassion - without production pressure, corporate quotas, or burnout culture.

We are a privately owned, relationship-centered small animal practice serving dogs, cats, pocket pets, and a variety of small exotics. If you’re a Veterinarian looking for a place where you can practice excellent medicine and have a full life outside the clinic, you’ll find it here.

Want to get a feel for our team and our culture? Meet our team in our short video - it captures who we are better than words can. Our youtube channel can be found by searching for All Creatures Veterinary Clinic Princeton, WV.

What We Offer
  • A consistent three-day workweek built around our 8 AM-8 PM schedule -no weekends, no on-call, and the work-life balance that comes from having four days off every week.

  • A calm, drama-free team culture grounded in our CREATE Values - Compassion, Relationships, Exceptional Medicine, Atmosphere, and Teamwork - with the final E representing the outcome we work toward every day: Equals More Happy Days Together.

  • A spectrum-of-care approach that lets an Associate Veterinarian practice medicine that’s both high-quality and realistic for real families.

  • A supportive, highly skilled team that includes experienced assistants, cross-trained staff, and leadership that listens.

  • A structured onboarding and mentorship program designed to help you feel confident, supported, and fully integrated - whether you’re a new graduate or an experienced Associate Veterinarian looking for a healthier way to practice.

  • True clinical collaboration, where you’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians - and they’ll work alongside you - sharing insight, discussing cases, and learning from one another in a supportive, growth-minded environment.

  • Modern equipment and diagnostic tools that empower your clinical judgment without dictating it.

  • Opportunities for professional growth, CE support, and long-term career development.

  • A truly independent practice with leadership that cares about sustainability, not shareholder returns.

  • A potential future buy-in or succession opportunity for the right long-term fit.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Veterinarian at All Creatures, you will:

  • Provide thoughtful, relationship-centered medical care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and a variety of small exotics.

  • Practice spectrum-of-care medicine, offering clients clear options and partnering with them to make decisions that are both medically sound and financially realistic.

  • Manage a balanced mix of appointments and procedures, with a schedule designed to support your clinical flow and reduce overwhelm.

  • Collaborate with fellow veterinarians - and contribute your own insight - as you discuss cases, share ideas, and support one another’s medical decision-making.

  • Build trusting relationships with clients, helping them feel heard, supported, and confident in the care their pets receive.

  • Work alongside a skilled, cross-trained support team that anticipates needs, communicates clearly, and helps you stay focused on medicine.

  • Contribute to a calm, emotionally safe clinic atmosphere where pets feel at ease and people feel valued.

  • Participate in ongoing learning and growth, with mentorship available and your professional development supported at every stage of your career.

Who You Are

You’re a Veterinarian who wants to practice medicine with purpose, clarity, and heart. You value connection - with your team, with your clients, and with the pets who trust you. You’re looking for a place where you can grow, contribute, and feel genuinely supported, not pressured or burned out.

You’ll be a great fit here if you:

  • Believe in compassionate, relationship-centered care.

  • Value spectrum-of-care medicine and clear client communication.

  • Enjoy collaborating with other veterinarians and contributing your own insight.

  • Communicate with kindness and clarity, even in emotionally charged moments.

  • Appreciate a calm, emotionally safe workplace.

  • Are curious, growth-minded, and open to mentorship.

  • Take pride in high-quality medicine that’s also realistic and accessible.

  • Want a sustainable career with a schedule that supports your life outside the clinic.

  • Endless outdoor recreation, including hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and the New River Gorge National Park.

  • A slower, steadier pace of life without big-city pressure.

  • A region on the rise, with revitalization and new investment.

  • A place where your work matters - deeply.

Support Team + Equipment
  • A highly trained, cross-functional support team, including a fully licensed RVT and another team member preparing for the VTNE, plus experienced assistants and client-care staff.

  • A calm, emotionally safe clinic atmosphere designed to reduce stress for pets, clients, and the veterinary team.

  • Experienced veterinarians who collaborate with you - and learn from you - in a supportive, growth-minded environment.

  • A leadership team that listens and is committed to giving you what you need to thrive.
