Job description

Want to do work that actually matters AND bring home a real paycheck? If yes, read on:
TruBlue Home Service Ally is a national brand with 120+ locations helping seniors age in place and giving busy families their weekends back. We give you steady, year-round work across North Austin while you spend your evenings and weekends doing whatever you love - not chasing down the next gig. We always leave behind 5-star finishes.
Why Join Our Team?
At TruBlue Home Service Ally, you get consistent local work and a team that actually invests in you. Here's what you get:
  • Growth path into Lead Tech and beyond as we expand.
  • Voluntary benefits at group rates - life insurance, short-term disability, accident coverage, and more.
  • FinFit financial wellness program - free spending/savings accounts, financial coaching, and credit alternatives.
  • Working Advantage employee discount program - hotels, flights, theme parks, movie tickets, and more.
  • Year-round, local work - home every night, no long hauls, no dry spells.

Who This Job Is For
You've got 7+ years of residential handyman or general contracting experience and can tackle a wide range of home repairs without needing your hand held. You're currently working in the trades or your most recent role was in home services, construction, or facilities maintenance. You take pride in doing the job right the first time - and you understand that in this role, you're not just fixing things, you're becoming a trusted Home Service Ally to the people who need it most.
  • You deliver 5-Star Service: your work speaks for itself, and customers ask for you by name.
  • You have Integrity: you're honest with customers, safe on the job, and consistent whether or not anyone's watching.
  • You're a Team Player: small crew means everyone pulls weight and has each other's back - and you're just as comfortable working independently.
  • You're Efficient: you hustle without cutting corners - you know the difference.
  • You chase Excellence: "good enough" isn't in your vocabulary.

North Austin is growing fast, and so is the population of seniors who want to age safely in their own homes. We're the team they call when they need someone they can trust.
Our Values
These aren't words on a wall - they're how we show up every day:
  • Compassion in Every Home - we treat every home as if it were our own, especially for the seniors and families counting on us most.
  • Be the Call They're Glad They Made - show up right, communicate clearly, and leave every job better than you found it.
  • Earn Trust on Every Job - we build our reputation one visit at a time, and every technician carries that standard.
  • Get Better Every Day - we're always learning, improving, and raising the bar for ourselves and our customers.

What You'll Do
  • Complete interior and exterior handyman repairs: doors, trim, fixtures, caulking, weather sealing.
  • Perform aging-in-place modifications: tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in shower installations, grab bars, handrails, comfort-height fixtures, slip-resistant flooring, and accessibility upgrades.
  • Apply skills in carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, basic plumbing and electrical.
  • Run seasonal maintenance: HVAC filters, gutter clearing, pressure washing.
  • Represent TruBlue Home Service Ally as a professional, empathetic, and trustworthy Home Service Ally.
  • Use HouseCall Pro for scheduling, check-ins, and invoicing (smartphone required).
  • Travel within our North Austin service territory - home every night.

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • 7+ years residential handyman or general contracting experience.
  • Currently working or most recently worked in trades, home services, construction, or facilities maintenance.
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • Smartphone proficiency.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet all day.
  • Professional appearance and strong customer communication.
