Halker Consulting is a nationwide provider of multi-disciplined Engineering, Design, Project Management, Procurement and Field Services for Oil & Gas, and other Energy industry sectors.
Halker Consulting specializes in Oil and Gas surface facilities, Power Infrastructure, Environmental Remediation and Design, Automation and Digital Solutions, and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Produce project deliverables such as process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, material balances and process calculations, utility summaries and calculations, timelines and simulations, equipment lists, equipment data sheets and specifications, and instrument data sheets and specifications.
  • Work with clients, contractors, project managers and engineering disciplines to ensure the project execution plan is effective, comprehensive, reasonable and obtainable
  • Develop process simulation models for existing and proposed O&G facilities
  • Size and specify equipment including PSV's and instrumentation for existing and proposed O&G facilities
  • Develop block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, and piping & instrumentation diagrams
  • Work with operations teams to troubleshoot existing operational issues
  • Perform feasibility studies which include process design evaluation, cost estimating, and economic analysis
  • Participate in PSM activities for facilities including maintaining facility drawings and resolving PHA action items
  • Lead the process design for midstream facility and pipeline projects
  • While reporting to and supporting the Process Engineering Director, provide technical leadership for process designs from the process engineering group including technical guidance and mentoring
  • Work with clients, contractors, project managers and engineering disciplines to ensure the project execution plan is effective, comprehensive, reasonable and obtainable
  • Assume leadership of a project team as lead engineer and coordinate the design aspects of the projects
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes and Halker's guidelines and standards

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Process Engineering
  • High proficiency in process simulation software (HYSY, ProMax, VMGSim, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Expected base salary range: $120,000/year - $165,000/year. Compensation (i.e. Base Salary) is negotiable and shall be offered commensurate with experience.
