Lead Integration Engineer
Location: San Francisco, California (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Integration Engineer to design, build, and support cloud-based integration solutions. This role involves building data transfer pipelines using AWS technology in an enterprise environment. The position requires a senior-level individual who will focus on AWS-native services, infrastructure automation, secure integrations, and production support within an Agile delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of complex integration solutions.
  • Provide programming support, developing software from established requirements and deploying code.
  • Build and support serverless and API-based integrations.
  • Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform.
  • Monitor applications, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to alert and monitoring dashboard creation.
  • Contribute to the design of technology infrastructure, security, and process improvements.
  • Compile and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, daily scrums, and on-call rotations as needed.
  • This role requires being on-site five days a week. Occasional travel may be required (up to 15%).
Required Qualifications
Experience: A senior-level candidate with approximately 10 years of experience in technology, including at least 3-5 years in Cloud technologies.
Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with messaging-based middleware such as IBM ACE/WebSphere MQ.
  • Proficiency with AWS Cloud technologies (Serverless, Lambda, RDS, EC2, Storage, API Gateway).
  • Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Programming experience in NodeJS or Python; candidates with Java experience who can adapt to NodeJS will be considered.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools, specifically GitLab and JIRA.
  • Intermediate experience with cloud security principles and practices (IAM roles, Kerberos, Authz, encryption).
  • Experience with alert and monitoring dashboard creation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms like API-SG, MQ, or MFT.
