Job Summary
The Lead Engineer lead and influence the design, delivery, automation, and support of infrastructure services and solutions; lead and influence cross-functional teams and stake-holder relationships.
Essential Functions

  • Independently builds, maintains, and documents infrastructure components for work assigned; performs reviews for all levels of engineer.
  • Designs solutions for the overall health, performance, and availability and actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
  • Assigns work, mentors, and trains junior engineers; welcomes and encourages upward feedback and perspectives from all levels of engineer.
  • Advocates for new technology and improvements that will reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency; works cross-functionally to find synergies.
  • Recommends and influences IT standards (e.g. info security, audit, compliance, etc.).
  • Assists in the development of strategies for building and maintaining new and existing solutions and capabilities.
  • Creates technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to deliver: mature monitoring, improved resiliency, and high availability.
  • Proposes high-level infrastructure architectural guidelines.
  • Formulates and designs technical solutions to meet business needs and communicates cross-functionally to ensure viability of solutions.
  • Position may require afterhours/on-call work, as needed and directed by management
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • OR equivalent experience (required)

  • Extensive Experience with the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
  • Working Knowledge of availability management; ability to utilize strategies and tools to ensure the timely availability of business data and applications.
  • Working Knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications.
  • Extensive Experience with Information Technology (IT) systems; ability to utilize a variety of system tools, guarantee service availability, and ensure optimal IT system performance.
  • Working Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) standards and policies; ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to manage organizational IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Extensive Experience with emerging technologies; ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for business environments.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
