  • Guide upstream contribution strategies supporting long-term maintenance and ecosystem adoption.
  • Participate in Linux Foundation activities, Zephyr working groups, technical reviews, and community collaborations.
  • Provide technical leadership for board support packages, silicon enablement, device driver development, and upstream integration efforts.
  • Establish strategies to maximize the business impact of open-source investments.

Cross-Functional Technical Leadership

  • Lead complex technical initiatives involving software engineering, applications engineering, product management, ecosystem partners, and external contributors.
  • Influence technical priorities across globally distributed teams.
  • Coordinate technical execution among internal stakeholders supporting Zephyr adoption.
  • Drive consensus on technical direction and ecosystem strategy.
  • Mentor engineers and technical leaders involved in Zephyr development programs.

Customer and Partner Technical Enablement

  • Provide technical leadership supporting customer adoption of Zephyr-enabled Microchip solutions.
  • Guide development of reference designs, application examples, training materials, and ecosystem documentation.
  • Engage with strategic customers and partners to understand emerging requirements.
  • Support technical workshops, training programs, conferences, and developer community activities.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proven technical leadership experience influencing cross-functional and globally distributed engineering teams.
  • Experience working directly with customers, ecosystem partners, and industry organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active participation or recognized contributions within the Zephyr Project or other major open-source communities.
  • Experience presenting at technical conferences, industry forums, or developer events.
