We are seeking a dynamic Senior Applications Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Applications Engineer specializing in Modular Data Center Infrastructure Design. This role will support the sales team by preparing customized solutions to meet customer needs, including bid tabs and technical documents. The Senior Applications Engineer will work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise and ensure that solutions align with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and translate them into modular data center infrastructure solutions. Provide senior-level technical guidance in selecting technologies, configurations, and solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Lead the development of bid tabs, including equipment specifications, system layouts, and cost estimates. Ensure bids are competitive, meet customer requirements, and align with company objectives.
  • Create and review detailed technical documents, such as drawings, specifications, and system descriptions for modular data center solutions. Ensure all documents comply with industry standards and customer needs.
  • Lead customer meetings and presentations, providing expert-level answers to technical questions. Offer insights into how modular data center infrastructure can solve customer challenges and meet their needs.
  • Support the planning and execution phases during the project lifecycle. Ensure designs and solutions are aligned with customer needs and expectations, and provide technical oversight throughout the project.
  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that solutions are feasible, manufacturable, and meet technical standards. Facilitate effective communication between the sales team and other departments.
  • Stay up to date with trends, technologies, and best practices in modular data center infrastructure. Contribute to refining application engineering processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers within the applications engineering team. Share knowledge, foster collaboration, and encourage continuous development to improve team performance and growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in applications engineering or sales support, with a focus on modular data center design.
  • Proven expertise in modular data center solutions, including power, cooling, and networking systems.
  • Strong knowledge of data center industry standards, practices, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for creating technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications in data center design (e.g., LEED, Uptime Institute).
  • Experience working with sales teams in a technical support capacity.
  • Knowledge of modular data center products and solutions.
