We are seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to be a foundational member of our North American team. This is a unique opportunity for a technical leader to help launch and scale a transformative communication platform in the enterprise market from the ground up.

Job Summary

The Senior Applications Engineer (AE) at SENA Industrial will serve as the primary technical authority for the next-generation communication solution in the North American market. This role is a strategic technical partner to the Sales team and Channel Partners (Radio Dealers, MSPs, and System Integrators). The Senior AE is responsible for bridging advanced wireless networking with real-world industrial applications, ensuring seamless deployment and high-level technical trust with enterprise clients in different industrial verticals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales Technical Support

โ— Technical Lead in Sales Cycle: Join sales meetings as a technical expert to conduct product demonstrations and address technical inquiries from client IT Directors and C-level executives.

โ— PoC Execution: Manage and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) installations at client sites and generate technical validation reports to verify system performance.

2. Site Planning & Partner Enablement

โ— Site Survey & RF Planning: Use professional tools (e.g., Ekahau, NetSpot) to conduct on-site Wi-Fi surveys. Produce signal heatmaps and a Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure 100% communication coverage.

โ— Channel Partner Training: Develop and deliver technical training to partners. Ensure they are qualified to perform independent installations and provide Tier 1 technical support.

3. Post-Sales Support & Product Feedback

โ— System Stabilization: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to resolve complex issues that partners cannot handle. Monitor initial deployment to ensure system stability.

โ— Technical Relationship Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for channel partners to manage technical escalations and maintain service quality.

โ— R&D Feedback Loop: Collect and document field performance data and client feature requests. Report these findings to the R&D team to guide product localized development and roadmap updates.

Qualifications

โ— Bachelorโ€™s degree in Science or Engineering field.

โ— 7-10 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, wireless solutions, or technical field engineering.

โ— Proven experience deploying large-scale wireless systems in hospitality, construction, or industrial environments.

โ— Deep understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards and RF propagation, and proficiency in professional Wi-Fi planning and diagnostic software (Ekahau, NetSpot, or similar).

โ— Strong ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear, actionable requirements for sales teams and non-technical stakeholders.

โ— Proven experience in mentoring or training third-party engineers and fostering collaborative technical relationships with partners.

โ— Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage technical conflicts and maintain professionalism under pressure.

โ— Highly collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively in a cross-functional team environment (Sales, R&D, and Partners).

โ— Self-motivated and proactive in identifying potential technical risks and proposing preventive solutions.

โ— Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region (initially Southwest/Texas) and across North America as business expands.

Preferred (plus) Qualifications

โ— Experience with communication protocols such as Digital Mobile Radio, Bluetooth, or Mesh network is a plus.
