We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Large Format Print Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining large format printers and finishing equipment to produce high-quality graphics, signage, banners, vehicle wraps, wall murals, trade show displays, and other printed products. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, understands color management and print production workflows, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

  • Operate large format digital printers, laminators, cutters, and finishing equipment
  • Prepare print files for production using RIP software and production workflow systems
  • Perform color matching and quality checks to ensure accurate and consistent output
  • Load media, inks, laminates, and substrates properly for production runs
  • Trim, mount, laminate, weed, mask, package, and finish printed graphics
  • Read and interpret work orders, proofs, and production schedules
  • Monitor equipment performance and perform routine maintenance and cleaning
  • Troubleshoot print quality issues, media feed problems, and equipment errors
  • Maintain organized inventory of media, inks, and production supplies
  • Ensure jobs are completed accurately, on time, and according to customer specifications
  • Assist with installation preparation and packaging when needed
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean production environment
Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating large format printers preferred
  • Familiarity with printers such as HP Latex, EFI, Canon Colorado, Roland, Mimaki, Epson, or similar equipment
  • Experience with RIP software such as ONYX, Caldera, VersaWorks, or Fiery preferred
  • Understanding of print production workflows, color management, and finishing techniques
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle large rolls of media
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and file handling knowledge
  • Experience with vinyl application, laminating, and cutting preferred
Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience with vehicle graphics, wall graphics, and signage production
  • Familiarity with substrates including vinyl, banner material, foam board, acrylic, PVC, aluminum composite, and fabric
  • Understanding of installation requirements and production tolerances
