Job description

Job Title: Graphics & Print Production Specialist / Customer Service Associate

 

About Us

Miro Printing & Graphics is a high-quality, customer-focused printing company dedicated to delivering exceptional print solutions located in Hackensack, NJ. Our small, 4-person team prides itself on precision, reliability, and outstanding service. We are seeking a motivated and versatile professional to join our team.

This busy, fast-paced company operates within a small footprint, and having staff who understand how to work in close physical proximity to coworkers is essential. The business consists of 4 departments; an ideal candidate would be able to function in each department as needed.  

 

Position Overview

This role combines pre-press, layout and design, and print production with strong customer service and account management responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working directly with clients while ensuring smooth production workflows.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Graphic design experience is a must
  • At least 2 years experience as a graphic designer with print experience;
  • Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred. Appropriate combination of relevant experience and education will be considered
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work on Mac platform
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Knowledge of graphic design fundamentals and current trends in graphic design

Front office:

  • Answering phones
  • Interacting with customers
  • Processing credit card payments
  • Maintaining email correspondence
  • Create and process customer quotes accurately and efficiently
  • Manage client accounts and maintain strong ongoing relationships
  • Address and resolve customer questions, concerns, and issues professionally
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment
  • Office tasks (emptying garbage, replacing water in the cooler, etc.)

Production:

  • Prepare print files, materials, and production setups (we use EFI Fiery Command WorkStation, Impose, Compose)
  • Coordinate multiple jobs and ensure deadlines are met
  • Set up, operate, and monitor printing equipment
  • Replace consumables in equipment (toner, drums, etc.)
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as needed
  • Stock inventory

  • Experience in print production or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Dynamic personality with a positive, customer-focused, and team-oriented attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Knowledge of bindery and finishing processes

 

OTHER ASPECTS OF THE FACILITY

These parts of our business would not be a core part of the role; however, learning, understanding and being able to help with each if needed is expected.

Bindery:

  • Understand conversion of ruler markings to decimals
  • Equipment/Machinery operation (cutter, bander, gluer, shrink wrapping)

Warehouse Shipping & Receiving:

  • Cross-referencing the packing list on incoming shipments
  • Pulling orders and packing for shipment
  • Utilizing the company’s inventory database system
  • Wrapping pallets for outbound shipments, using a manual pallet jack

 

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Daytime availability, Monday- Friday required.
