Job description

Sunline Products is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer with a strong background in screen printing and apparel decoration. This is not a general graphic design position. We are seeking someone who understands how artwork moves from the computer to the press and can consistently produce clean, production-ready files.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands that great artwork is measured not only by how it looks on the screen, but by how well it prints.

Responsibilities

  • Create and prepare artwork for screen printing production.

  • Convert customer artwork into clean, production-ready files.

  • Perform vector and raster color separations.

  • Create and edit vector artwork from customer-supplied images.

  • Prepare proofs and mockups for customer approval.

  • Ensure artwork meets production specifications before release.

  • Work closely with Sales and Production to resolve artwork issues before printing.

  • Maintain organized digital artwork files for future reorders.

  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding artwork revisions and approvals by email and phone.

  • Evaluate, clean up, and rebuild artwork created with AI design tools, Canva, screenshots, low-resolution images, and other non-production-ready sources into files suitable for professional screen printing.

  • Recommend the most effective printing methods, color count, and artwork modifications to achieve the best finished product while maintaining production efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional graphic design experience.

  • Previous screen printing experience is required.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

  • Strong understanding of vector artwork and raster graphics.

  • Experience with vector and raster color separations, including channel separations.

  • Working knowledge of PMS Spot Color matching.

  • Excellent typography, layout, and composition skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

  • Experience converting AI-generated artwork, Canva files, low-resolution graphics, and customer-provided artwork into production-quality vector files.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in apparel decoration or promotional products.

  • Customer service experience.

  • Knowledge of embroidery, DTF, UV printing, heat transfer, or other decoration methods is a plus.

  • Experience recreating logos and preparing artwork for multiple print processes.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with both customers and coworkers, and understands that accuracy is just as important as creativity. The right candidate enjoys solving artwork challenges, is comfortable working with imperfect customer files, and can transform almost anything into clean, press-ready artwork.

If you've ever looked at a customer's logo and thought, "I can fix this," you're probably the kind of designer we're looking for.

To Apply

Please submit:

  • Your resume

  • A brief introduction about yourself

  • A link to your portfolio (preferred)

Please do not apply if you do not have prior screen printing experience or have fewer than three years of professional graphic design experience.
