Job description

Position Summary To serve our large format grocery store customers by selling our products and managing our employees to established standards in order to increase company sales and profits. Essential Functions
  • Maximizes sales and distribution of our products by working with retailers to identify opportunities to increase the sales and profitability of the company through proper use of Point of Sale materials, communication of price/value and securing displays.
  • Coaches, trains and develops employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established standards.
  • Develops, builds and maintains relationships with Store Management at the retailer location to sell and order the appropriate level of product for each location.
  • Assists in scheduling merchandisers to ensure each retailer location is serviced according to established company standards.
  • Stocks, rotates and displays all products to established standards (e.g. coolers, vendors).
  • Completes, reviews, approves and maintains time-off requests and timecards, mileage reports and other paperwork according to established company policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, promotions, pricing, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), customer information and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local Laws).
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
Education High School or GED required. 2 Year / Associate Degree in Business preferred. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business preferred. Experience 1 - 3 years of retail management experience. Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred. Computer Skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Certifications & Licenses Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment. Ability to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed. Other Requirements Knowledge of: retail sales environment; grocery and beverage industry; standard selling practices; writing customer orders; Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in: selling products and promotions; internal and external customer service; training and coaching. Ability to: train, develop, manage and lead a team; work quickly, efficiently and independently; multi-task; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; relate to and influence customers; develop and maintain good working relationships; write and enter accurate orders; be trained on operating a pallet jack, tow motor and other mechanical equipment; drive a vehicle; operate a computer; delegate; problem solve.
