Shift availability: First shift: 5:45 am - 2:15 pm; Second Shift: 1:45 pm- 10:15 pm; Third Shift: 9:45 pm- 6:15 am

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Large Format Prepress Operator is responsible for preparing and managing Artwork Files for output on Large Format Printers and Cutters using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge, and other industry-standard Software platforms. This role includes performing PreFlight checks, File Preparation, Proofing, and Imposition in accordance with established standards in a fast-paced environment.
This position is ideal for someone who possess strong Technical PrePress skills and the ability to produce Print-Ready Files that consistently meet standardized specifications. Attention to detail and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset is essential. A keen eye for detail is a must, and a team-centered mindset is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare Artwork Files for output on Large Format Printers, Cutters, and Finishing equipment.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Adobe Illustrator.
  • Identify File Formats, Resolution, Color Modes, Spot colors, and other relevant File attributes.
  • Advise and convey key File details and best practices to Project Managers and Sales.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of Print Medias, Equipment, and Production Techniques.
  • Collaborate and work effectively within a team of Prepress Operators.
  • Contribute to team workshops, attend training sessions, and Large Format team meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least two (2) years of experience preparing Files for Large, Wide, or Grand Format Printers.
  • Knowledge of RIP's and/or Workflow Automation Software is a plus.
  • May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged sitting and extensive data entry and typing

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
