Who we are;

M&S Civil Consultants, Inc. is a civil engineering and surveying company in Colorado Springs, CO ~12 employees.  We specialize in land development, surveying, engineering and construction surveying. Our projects consist of residential subdivisions, commercial subdivisions, industrial sites, and various public work projects.  Within these projects, preparation of necessary plans, reports and documents are created to plan, entitle, design, construct, and certify land development projects.

Position Overview;

M&S Civil Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Professional Surveyor, Field Surveyor, Civil Engineer, Civil Engineer EIT, Designer, or Draftsman in Land Development to join our team.  A potential candidate must have experience in land development engineering or surveying and will be responsible for providing technical expertise to support the planning and execution of land development projects. The employee will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks related to the entitlement, design, and processing of land development projects.

Position Qualifications;

• Experience in Land Development project engineering and drafting.

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or degree in Civil Engineering drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in Land Surveying.

Engineer Position Responsibilities;

• Develop plans, reports and documents for land development projects.

• Oversee the design and quality assurance of plans produced.

• Review projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost effective manner.

• Prepare engineering plans, reports, and related documents, including but not limited to; grading, erosion control, utilities, roads, and drainage.  Experience in water resources is a plus.

• Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the engineering team.

• Identify and resolving complex land development issues with reviewing agencies.

• Oversee and managing project timelines and budgets.

• Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project.

• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related civil engineering software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
