Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated person for our outside sales representative position. This position requires interaction with a wide variety of clients and prospects including biotech, medical, and academia accounts. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate product benefits and value of our life science products, prospecting to secure new customers, and maintaining relationships with current customers. MIDSCI's value is that we specialize in molecular biology; this means our sales representatives provide better service, and better solutions than our competitors. The position includes a salary ($60,000-70,000), benefits, and uncapped commission.

Requirements

Job Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who has a basic knowledge of molecular biology, desire to be successful, enthusiastic and has the ability to learn. The ability to communicate with a customer on a technical level is a necessary starting point that needs to be sharpened on a continuous basis. Enthusiasm and a desire to please the customer are traits that our successful reps share. This position will require more than a standard 40 hour week, especially when starting.

Other requirements for the Outside Sales Representative include:

Bachelor's Degree in (Business or Life Sciences preferred)

Ideally 2 years of sales experience and/or 2 years involved with life science research.

Desire to establish a long term career.

Ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of people.
