Firm Overview:
A nationally recognised, premier law firm is seeking a high-calibre Labor Relations Associate to support its industry-leading team in D.C. Working directly with National Labor Relations leadership, the firm provides strategic, high-stakes advice to management and ownership groups, particularly within the hospitality and food service sectors.
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Associate with 5-8 years of experience in a management-side traditional labor and employment practice. This role is designed for a candidate looking to take on a more visible role, supporting a high-profile partner while positioning themselves for a partnership track within a well-resourced global platform.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Representing management in National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings, including unfair labor practice charges and representation elections.
  • Assisting in the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements and handling grievance arbitrations.
  • Developing and implementing preventive labor strategies to help clients avoid labor disputes and unionisation efforts.
  • Advising clients on the practical impacts of shifting federal philosophies, including wage and hour compliance and the PRO Act.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in a law firm labor and employment group (management-side).
  • Strong background in traditional labor matters, specifically NLRB proceedings and union relations.
  • Experience in employment litigation, including workplace investigations and compliance.
  • Direct, straight-to-the-point communication style with the ability to move quickly in trial-prep environments.
