Commercial Firestopping Estimator
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Firestop Estimator/Manager for the Washington DC Region

  • Assist in all sales of the Firestop Division, build customer relations.
  • Estimate all Firestop projects
  • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of projects including labor
  • Assist in the management of the operational capabilities of the division.
  • Assist in training of the staff.
  • Monitor productivity and provide solutions to the problems that arise with the labor pool, including write ups and other documentation of performance, both positive and negative.
  • Drive performance so that each project is completed under budget and on schedule

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience, 5 years total construction experience preferred
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Must have skilled knowledge of estimating techniques, software and databases
  • Sharp understanding of bidding process
  • Ability to visualize various building techniques
  • Superb communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and moral ethics with the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to foresee problems and take corrective actions
