Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and diligent Custodial General Laborer to perform essential cleaning and general maintenance duties within our busy manufacturing plant and office areas. This role is vital for ensuring a safe, sanitary, and organized environment for all employees and visitors, in compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Perform heavy cleaning duties throughout the facility, including the production floor, warehouses, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors, may use industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and industrial vacuums.
  • Waste Management: Gather, empty, and clean all trash, recycling, and waste containers, transporting waste to appropriate disposal areas.
  • Sanitization: Clean and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and equipment, following proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage and ensure hygiene standards.
  • General Labor: Assist with moving materials, supplies, furniture, or equipment as needed, either manually or using moving equipment.
  • Shipping: This role will assist in the Shipping Department with preparing inventory for shipment. May need to move items with a forklift.
  • Additional custodial assignments within the interior and exterior of the facility.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Ability to stand, lift, push, pull, and carry products throughout the entire shift
  • Can lift up to 85 lbs. and stack rolls up to 7 ft. high in a trailer
  • Must be able to work in a hot and fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work around dust particles
  • Basic Reading/Math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Forklift Experience/Certification: Prior experience operating a forklift or other powered industrial trucks is highly desirable.
