Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery L&D
Job Description:
If you want to make a significant impact as a Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery in Ashland, WI this position might be what you are looking for!
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, contractions, and labor progress, assessing any complications and providing appropriate interventions during labor and delivery.
  • Support women through the stages of labor, assist in birthing procedures, and collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and anesthesiologists to manage deliveries, including assisting with vaginal births or cesarean sections.
  • Administer pain relief options, such as epidurals, IV medications, or other comfort measures, and assist with pain management during labor and delivery.
  • Provide care to both mother and newborn immediately following delivery, including assessing recovery, promoting bonding, providing breastfeeding support, and educating parents about newborn care and recovery.
Qualifications:
  • WI Registered Nurse license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in L&D or obstetric care
