Job description

General Labor/Production Floater (1st Shift, Full-Time)
$20.00-$23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Team Lead or Plant Management Team, the General Laborer/Production Floater will support various task of the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Material handling, shot blasting, parts washing, janitorial, cylinder assembly-test-paint and product packaging, CNC & robotic tending, submerged arc weld under operator supervision.
2. Maintenance support to load and unload parts.
3. Labor assistant to other operators.
4. Pick-up and/or deliver parts/assemblies to customers or vendors.
5. Make prints for shop packets up in engineering.
6. Assist with the inventory control of material, parts and assemblies in the department.
MARGINAL RESPONSIBILIES:
1. Assist with the development of more efficient manufacturing methods and procedures.
2. Assist machine operators and welders as needed.
3. Maintain clean and safe workplace.
4. Handling and transport of materials, ex: cylinders.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One year prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Excellent attendance record.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Able to follow directions from the plant management team.
4. Must be a team player who will work well with all departments and employees.
5. Possess good organization skills.
6. Detailed orientated.
